Police nabs violent rioters for attacking KPC

Karachi—The Artillery Maidan Police have arrested 7 accused of attacking the Karachi Press Club, manhandling the working journalists and setting a van of private TV on fire on Sunday during a protest in connection with execution of Mumtaz Qadri, whose Chehlum was observed across Pakistan.
Qadri had gunned down the former Punjab Governor and was sentenced to death by court.
Those 7 arrested are Umair Khan, Obaid Ahmed, Khawaja Raza, Muhammad Raza, Zafar Iqbal, Abdul Qadir and Irfan, Police have registered FIR against them under antiterrorism act. Police have yet to recover the looted cameras, which the rioters had taken away after injuring cameramen during their violence.
