Srinagar

Dukhtaran-e-Millat General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained party Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and demanded her immediate release.
In a statement here, she said that Aasiya Andrabi had developed some complications in the Baramulla jail, where she has been detained under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA). She said that the DeM Chief had very high blood pressure, besides developing some severe health complications.
Nahida Nasreen said that Aasiya Andrabi was later brought to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences where doctors recommended that she should be admitted, adding that the doctors also said that she had to undergo various investigations.
However, Nahida Nasreen said that she was not allowed to get admitted by a huge contingent of police that accompanied her to the hospital.
She said that the police were directed by the SSP of Baramulla not to let Aasiya get admitted in the hospital.
She warned that the puppet authorities would be responsible if anything untoward happened to Aasiya Andrabi.—KMS
