Police confirm sexual assault of girl found at farmhouse

Police investigators on Friday confirmed that an unconscious girl found from a farmhouse was subjected to sexual assault.
The officials cited medical reports released by a medico-legal officer of the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital as corroborating earlier suspicions of an assault committed with the 16-year-old girl, N—. Police claim that two of the three suspects involved in the crime have been apprehended. One of the accused is still absconding.
The arrested prime suspect has been identified as Shahrukh. The law enforcers said a total of three men were involved in the heinous crime.
Rangers and Police later jointly conducted raids in the vicinity of the farmhouse and arrested the two suspects. SSP Munir Sheikh says the girl had a minor quarrel with her family members, prompting her to leave the house in rage and she subsequently went to a trip on farmhouse with friends.
The senior cop also met the victim at the hospital and recorded her statement. He said the girl was first made to drink some intoxicated substance before the suspects sexually assaulted her.
The SSP said police teams were conducting raids to arrest the third culprit.—INP
