Police book 7 for violation of temporary residence laws

The Hyderabad police arrested 7 persons as part of the ongoing security sweep under the national action plan and booked them in the FIRs.
The police spokesman informed that two house owners, Muhammad Zeeshan and Muhammad Kashif, along with their tenant, Muhammad Nabeel, were arrested by Fort police.
The three persons had been booked under section 3/11 of Sindh Information of Temporary Residents Act, 2015, because both the landlords and the tenant failed to provide information about their tenancy agreement to the concerned police station. The Fort police also arrested a tenant, Hamid Chohan, and booked him under the same sections of the 2015 Act, he added. Separately, the Phuleli police also arrested Muhammad Sadiq and Waheed Qureshi, parties of the tenancy agreement, and booked them under the 2015 Act.
The spokesman told that the owner of an apartment in GOR colony, Hazoor Bux, was also arrested and nominated in an FIR registered under the same sections of the 2015 Act.—APP
