Police arrest 18 lawbreakers

Rawalpindi—Police under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 18 lawbreakers. The police arrested seven renting rules besides recovering 1265 grams charras, 14 liter wine, 100 bottles of liquor, three pistols 30 bore with eight rounds and a kalashnikov from the possession of the arrested accused, a police spokesman said on Friday.
He said, Gunjmandi police netted Rafaqat Hussain for having 165 grams charras. Saddar Wah police held Shehzad on recovery of 1100 grams charras. Naseerabad police arrested Shahbaz Ahmed for possessing five liter wine. Jatli police recovered nine liter wine from the possession of Imran Ahmed and Abdul Rauf. Taxila police apprehended Waqas Shoukat for possessing 100 bottles of liquor.
Gujar Khan police rounded up a drunkard namely Jabran Khan who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
Pirwadhai police nabbed Abdul Rehman for carrying a 30 bore pistol with five rounds while Gujar Khan police rounded up Jabran Khan with a 30 bore pistol and three rounds. Saddar Wah police also recovered a 30 bore pistol from Muhammad Sadiq. Waris Khan police seized a Kalashnikov and netted Ramazan.
Meanwhile, Race Course police booked seven renting rules violators namely Javed Khan, Tariq Mahmood, Owais Ahmed, Muhammad Sabir, Khursheed Ahmed, Muhammad Bashir and Masood Niaz.—APP
