Poetry collection of Kishawar Naheed launched


Islamabad—A poetry collection of renowned scholar and poet Kishawar Naheed ‘Aabad Kharab’ was launched here at Pakistan Academy of Letters on Thursday.
The book launching ceremony was arranged by Young Women Writers Forum (YWWF) Islamabad in collaboration with PAL and Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO).
Chairman PAL Prof. Dr Muhammad Qasim Bughio presided over the ceremony, while renowned scholars including Ayesha Masood Malik, Haris Khalil, Hameed Shahid, Ishfaq Saleem Mirza and YWWF representatives presented copies on the new book of Kishawar Naheed.
Kishawar Naheed also attended her book launching ceremony.
Chairman PAL Prof Dr Muhammad Qasim Bughio congratulated Kishawar Naheed on launching her new poetry collection ‘Aadab Kharaba’. He said that Kishwar Naheed always produced quality literature, adding that it would motivate the young generation.
Scholars and poets commenting on Kishawar Naheed new book congratulated her and lauded the new poetry collection of living legend.
They paid tributes to the literary work of Kishawar Naheed, adding that she always produced outstanding poetry.
The scholars said that Kishwar Naheed beautifully highlighted the social problems being faced by the people in today world.
Kishwar Naheed expressed hope that YWWF would continue its efforts with a spirit to produced quality literary work. She also thanked the participants, particularly PAL and YWWF for arranging her book launching ceremony. She presented her two poems from the new book on the occasion.
