PM’s visit to Kotli Sattian

On Monday, the 25th April 2016, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed the people of Kotli Sattian, at a function organised for distribution of cheques among the victims of land sliding. Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who represents Murree was also there on the occassion. Kotli sattian is a bordering town of Punjab with Azad Kashmir and Prime Minister said that his Government had planned to build a state of the art road along the river Jehlum from Muzafarabad to Mirpur.
It will also be linked with Kotli sattian while a number of bridges would also be constructed on the river. He said that his visit was to provide financial assistance to the affected people by floods and landslides but he was amazed to see the huge crowd after giving away cheques among the affected persons. The Prime Minister directed the Commissioner of area to ensure that left over affected persons must get the compensationy cheques within 24 hours and accordingly he should report him about it.
The Prime Minister announced carpeting of all major roads and construction of a modern hospital in Kotli Sattian. He asked people to suggest for new roads for promoting tourism generating economic activities and creating employments in Kotli sattian. Minister of petroleum and natural resources Shahid Khaqan Abbassi referred to the development activities going on for Kotli Sattian and said Nawaz Sharif was the first Prime Minister to visit Kotli sattian. The Provincial Labour Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and Khurram Saeed Satti Advocate also addressed the gathering.
