PMPKL joins GCNP for promoting SDGs

Islamabad—Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited has joined Global Compact Network Pakistan (GCNP) to promote UN Global Compact Charter principles/practices and implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Pakistan.
CEO Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited Alexander Reisch signed the UN Global Compact Charter in the presence of Vice President, Corporate Affairs Asia Johan Von Zweigbergk, President GCNP, Ahsan Ullah Khan, President Employers’ Federation of Pakistan, Khawaja Muhammad Nauman, Secretary GCNP, Fasihul Karim Siddiqi and the management team of Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited.
The initiative of Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited operation to join the Global Compact Network Pakistan will mark the beginning of a collaborative partnership in promoting UNGC principles/practices and implementing SDGs in Pakistan through multinational and national companies and their supply chain.
Philip Morris International (PMI) joined the UNGC in 2015 and has already published its first Communication On Progress (COP) Report demonstrating how effectively PMI was taking an active role in communities of countries where they were operating.
