PML-N shows its strength in Lahore

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Friday showed its political strength as its held home coming rally in support of Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz amid hurdles created by the administration.
Led by the PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, the rally started from Lohari Gate at about 4.15 pm. Shahbaz’s son Hamza Shahbaz was on the driving seat.
A large number of PML-N activists from different parts of the country, carrying party flags and pictures of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif participated in the rally. They also throated slogans in favour of Sharifs.
The PML-N leaders including the AJK premier Raja Farooq Haider, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Talal Chaudhry, Pervaiz Rashid and the PML-N candidates contesting the general elections were also present in the rally.
The PML-N workers were seen fully charged as they removed containers in front of the Punjab Assembly forcefully. Two cranes and one lifter were also part of the PML-N main rally for removal of hurdles.
Before the start of the rally, the PML-N leaders Pervaiz Rashid, Talal Chaudhry, Khawaja Saad Rafique addressed the gathering saying the PML-N is waging a just struggle for the rights of people. They said in today’s rally, the people are showing love with Nawaz Sharif who took part despite of hurdles.
Pervaiz Rashid told media that the people would cast vote in favour of PML-N candidates on July 25. He said the voice of the people cannot be stopped by using force.
There were reports of clashes between the PML-N workers and police on their way to Lahore. The PML-N convoy from Sahiwal was stopped by the Police. The convoy of former federal minister Khawaja Asif, which headed from Sialkot to Lahore, was stopped near Kamoke. A large contingent of police and Rangers was deployed on the GT Road.
