Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Karachi on September 16 on a first official visit to the metropolis since he assumed the office of the country’s chief executive.
The premier will be visiting the port city on invitation of Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.
The Governor met the prime minister in the federal capital on Saturday and extended an invitation to him to pay a visit to the city, which he accepted.
According to a PM House spokesperson, the premier lauded the Governor’s act of allowing public access to the Governor House.
During his visit, Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over a high-level meeting to review the current security situation in the metropolis. He will be given a detailed briefing on the ongoing development projects in the city.
Mr Khan will also attend a fundraising programme at the Governor House.According to a PM House spokesperson, the premier lauded the Governor’s act of allowing public access to the Governor House.
During the meeting, the PM directed the Governor to keep abreast with the issues being faced by the people.
