Islamabad—Turkish Minister of Economy, Mustafa Elitas called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif here at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday.
Congratulating the Minister on his recent appointment as Minister for Economy, the Prime Minister expressed hope that Mr Elitas’ visit would contribute to substantially promoting bilateral trade and economic ties between the two brotherly countries.
The Prime Minister said that the people and government of Pakistan were deeply saddened at life losses as a result of terrorism in the recent past.
While reaffirming Pakistan’s strong solidarity with the people and government of Turkey, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif stated that terrorism is a common threat and must be combated with collective efforts.
Highlighting the significance Pakistani and Turkish leadership’s shared vision of transforming the traditionally cordial bilateral ties into a robust economic partnership, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the growing Pakistan-Turkey economic collaboration.—APP
