KARACHI : Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday and discussed the political situation, law and order and ongoing development projects in the province which are funded by the federal government.
Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair was also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Abbasi assured that the federal government would extend all the financial assistance for the completion of development projects in Sindh including Karachi and support the measures for improvement of law and order situation.
The premier said Karachi is the lifeline of the country and steps are being taken for durable peace and law and order in the city.He appreciated the hard work of the law enforcement agencies including Police and Rangers for restoring peace and order in the mega city. He said no one would be allowed to disturb peace in the economic and financial hub of the country.
The governor informed the prime minister that after the completion of projects under Karachi Development Package, the problems of citizens will be resolved to a great extent.
