Plan to make polio campaign a success: DC

Micro plan had been devised to make Polio campaign a success which would start from October 30, said Deputy Commissioner Talat Mehmood Gondal here Wednesday.
Chairing a meeting to review arrangements, he said with the coordinated efforts of Government and World Health Organization WHO, polio workers had been trained to accomplish the target set of vaccinating 8,23,843 children below five years of age.
The DC said Polio was a National issue as it was responsibility of all to play an effective role to make the country Polio free.
He said along-with all government initiatives, active participation of parents was needed to make the campaign successful. He also directed to set up a monitoring mechanism for the campaign and said daily report in this regard be submitted. Sharing details of arrangements, CEO health Muhammad Sohail Ahmed Chaudhry said 2175 mobile Teams , 287 fixed Points and 124 transit points had been established.—APP
