Lahore—A cake-cutting ceremony was held to mark Youm-e-Takbeer here on Saturday at the Punjab Judicial Academy (PJA).
PJA Director General Justice (retd) Shahid Saeed, Additional Director Arif Rana and staffers of the academy participated in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice (retd) Shahid Saeed said that Pakistan’s nuclear explosions not only saved the region from an imbalance of power but also made the country the first Islamic nuclear state.
He said that after nuclear explosions, the country’s defence had become impregnable and it was an honour for the nation.
On May 28, 1998, Pakistan detonated six nuclear devices under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, making it the seventh nuclear-armed state in the world.
