PIA to begin post-Hajj flights from tomorrow

Yousaf lauds Saudi govt for making best Hajj arrangements

karachi—PIA’s will begin post-Hajj operation from September 17, which would last till October 16, 2016. During this period 126 special hajj flights would be operated from Jeddah and Madinah Munawwara to 10 cities of Pakistan, which include Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sukkur, Multan and Rahimyarkhan. In addition to these special flights, PIA would also transport hujjaj through its 125 scheduled flights operating during this period. In total around 52,000 hujjaj are expected to travel back to their homeland in PIA’s post-Hajj operation. Chairman PIA, Mr. Azam Saigol has directed all departments of the airline to work in seamless coordination to successfully conclude the second phase of Hajj 2016. He appreciated that due to the efforts of all concerned more than 92% flights during pre-Hajj operation were either operated on time or ahead of time and said the passengers expected similar standards from their national airline in the post-hajj operation as well.
APP adds: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are tied in an unbreakable bond of Islami brotherhood and honouring guests of Allah from Pakistan will further strengthen these relations.
Addressing a banquet hosted in his honour by Saudi dignitaries in Makkah, he lauded the Saudi government, especially King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, for making excellent arrangements for Hajj 2016, Radio Pakistan reported.
