Federal Minister for Housing & Works Tareq Bashir Cheema visited Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) to review the progress of the institution. Secretary Dr Imran Zeb and Joint Secretary Jamil Ahmed Khan were also present during the introductory meeting.
CEO of PHAF while presenting the detailed performance report during the meeting said the foundation is being run on self-help basis and PHAF has so far completed 24 projects wherein 5348 houses were handed over to the owners.
He said presently 6 thousands houses are being built under different projects, some of which will be completed this year while all the projects in progress will be completed by next two years. CEO told that projects comprising 1700 houses are in planning phase and shortly the work will also be started.
Giving some recommendations to the federal minister CEO said if these recommendations were accepted then PHAF can play a pivotal role in making the prime minister’s 50 lakh houses program a success.
Federal minister praised the role of PHAF officers and workers and advised them to leave no stone unturned in solving the public issues on priority basis. He also assured full cooperation in timely completion of the projects.
