PES provides services to 591 accident victims

Lahore—The Punjab Emergency Service (PES) provided services to 591 road accident victims during the last 24 hours in Punjab. According to Rescue 1122, two people were killed, while 525 sustained injuries in accidents. As many as 261 drivers, 22 juvenile drivers, 112 pedestrians and 339 passengers were among the victims of the crashes. The statistics show that 130 accidents were reported in city which affected 134 persons, placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by 57 accidents in Faisalabad with 62 victims and Multan remained at third with 32 accidents and 36 victims. As many as 490 motorcycles, 91 rickshaws, 52 cars, 31 vans, six buses, 21 trucks and 68 other vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in accidents.—APP
