PEMRA starts monitoring ban on Indian content

Islamabad—Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Friday completely banned Indian content and started proper monitoring of TV channels and FM Radio. The licence of any television channel or radio that violates the ban will be immediately cancelled. All distribution networks, all PEMRA regional offices and sub-offices have been already issued directions in this regard. The ban on Indian content has been effective from 3 pm today (October 21). The license of TV channels and FM radio stations, found guilty of violating the ban, would be revoked without any show-cause notice.—APP
