Karachi—Passing out parade of 30th batch of Eaglet Force was held on Monday in Razzaqabad Police Training Centre in Karachi. Six women among 170 personnel took part in the parade while Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sultan Ali Khawaja was the chief guest.
While addressing participants of the ceremony, Khawaja said that an investigative committee was formed in matter pertaining to purchase of CCTV cameras by Sindh Police. It was decided to purchase CCTV cameras from United States (US) Consulate. He said that around 7,000 bullet-proof vests would be purchased for Sindh Police personnel.
Police have informed the Sindh government about law enforcement agency’s budget, he added. DIG Khawaja said that compensation money for police martyrs was increased to Rs 6 million from Rs 2 million.
The chief guest stated that sacrifices of police and army in war on terror would not go in vain. Accountability procedure in police department is being reorganized, he added.—SABAH
