Parliament of no use if major issues are not discussed: SC

Islamabad—The Supreme Court of Pakistan Wednesday raised questions over Farmer Package and its disapproval from parliament while Justice Qazi Faez Isa gave remarks over the issue and said that parliament should be locked if important issues cannot be discussed in there.
During the hearing Advocate Salman Akram Raja said that the government has been providing subsidy of Rs 500 per sack of fertiliser to farmers through industries importing raw material. Justice Qazi Faez Isa gave remarks and said that under which law government has approved Rs 12.5 billion for fertiliser manufactures? He questioned if this package was approved by Punjab Assembly. —NNI
