Parliament heading in right direction on Panama Papers: Marvi

Karachi—The Parliament is heading in the right direction with regard to the matter pertaining to the Panama Papers. This was stated by Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), MNA Marvi Memon.
This she stated while talking to media at a seminar on ‘Debate for Great Minds’. She also addressed the gathering.A former federal minister, Prof. Dr. Atta ur Rehman, and a scholar Dr. Human Baqai also spoke.
Marvi Memon said that with regard to the Panama Papers, the Parliament is moving ahead in the right direction. The committee for the Terms of Reference (ToRs) has been formed with consensus.
She further stated that like the leadership of PML-N, the leaders of other political parties should also exhibit prudence and patience. Marvi Memon said that all should make concerted efforts for the progress and development of the country.
She pointed out that under the BISP some 5.3 million poor women are the beneficiaries. Marvi Memon informed that BISP has the data of the poor women in the country and asked the philanthropists to extend cooperation and collaboration for the betterment of the poors.
She pointed out that the PML-N government has enhanced the budget of the BISP. It was pointed out that there is an agreement with the TCS which sells online the products prepared by the poor women. Marvi Memon said that the philanthropists may also assist in the sale of such products which help them earn their livelihood.
