Pakistan team to feature in Asian Netball C’ship

Islamabad—Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) Monday announced national men’s netball team for participation in Asian Men’s Netball Championship 2016 to be held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from December 9-11.
“We will got no objection certificates (NOCs) from the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) well in time. And now the Malaysian Embassy has also issued visas to our 16-member squad,” the PNF President Mudassar Razak Arain told APP here.
He said the federation had nominated Muhammad Akhtar as team captain. Following is the squad:
Muhammad Akhtar (captain), Muhammad Zohair, Samad Masood, Umair Hassan, Ejaz ul Haque, Amir Rasheed, Fasial ur Rehman, Zahid Iqbal, Abdul Haq, Usman Bashir, Khurshid Ahmed, Ali Raza, Zahid Sultan (standby), Anwar Ahmed Ansari (coach), Yasir Javed (assistant coach & physical trainer), Muhammad Riaz (manager).
Besides Pakistan teams from India, Hong Kong, hosts Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore will feature in the event.
Pakistan are scheduled to play two matches on December 9, the first against Singapore and the second against Hong Kong.
While on December 10, they will play three matches, the first against Brunei, second against arch-rivals India and last against Malaysia.
The final and third position match will be held on December 11.—APP
