Sharjah—Pakistan defeated West Indies by a big margin of 111 runs in the first of the three One-day Internationals here at the Sharjah Cricket stadium on Friday.
They lead the ODI series 1-0 as the second match will be played at the same venue on Sunday.
Chasing a huge target of 287 runs, the West Indies
batsmen could not resist against Pakistani bowlers and were bowled out for 175 in 38.4 overs.
Left-arm slow bowler Mohammad Nawaz captured four wickets for 42 and right-arm fast-medium bowler Hasan Ali bagged three for 14.
For the West Indies, Marlon Samuels top scored with 42 whereas no other batsman could make more than 23.
