Painting exhibition attracts visitors

Islamabad—A three-day painting exhibition by a renowned artist Jimmy Engineer is attracting a large number of people at National Library.
Three-day exhibition theme “to honour the sacrifices of the martyrs from 1947 to date in the cause of Pakistan” was arranged by National History and Literary Heritage Division.
This exhibition is specially arranged to pay tribute to the martyrs and heros. Around 90 paintings have been displayed in the exhibition.
Jimmy Engineer is a multi-layered artist. His art is not confined to images on canvas as his canvas extends far beyond all that is material. Though he already has over 2000 paintings and more than 1000 calligraphies to his name besides the 20,000 or so prints in private collection. He prefers to be acknowledged as a simple mortal who cares for the human kingdom with a passion.
