PA Khyber lauds MSSST for enduring sports facilities to youth

Peshawar—Political Agent Khyber Agency Captain (Retd) Khalid Mehmood Friday paid rich tribute to Malik Saad Shaheed for rendering his life for the integrity and sovereignty of the motherland.
He said this during a surprised visit to the Secretariat of the Malik Saad Shaheed Sports Trust situated in Center Police Office premises. Writing his view about Malik Saad, PA Khyber Captain (Retd) Khalid Mehmood said Malik Muhammad Saad Khan Shaheed gave his life in line of duty while reviewing security arrangements of a religious procession in Peshawar.
His courage, determination and leadership inspired many of his friends, peers and subordinates. Very few officers in Police force earn the respect of local citizens. During his career, Malik Saad served in United Nations mission in Mozambique as well. A dynamic person and a sportsperson, Malik Saad also initiated different sports activities including cricket and hockey.
He said forming of Malik Saad Shaheed Trust is a good step in the right direction wherein the trust is enduring all out facilities to the youth at grassroots level. Malik Muhammad Saad Khan Shaheed embraced martyrdom while protecting citizens during one of the tense times of the year. He left many of his friends and ordinary citizens saddened by his sacrifice who continue to remember him.
He also lauded the office-bearers of the Trust and members trustees for extending their services for the just cause of services to the humanity.
Khalid Mehmood expressed the hope that the Trust would continue support the youth even in FATA. He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA is full of talent but that talent need to be polished accordingly so that they should reach to the national and international levels.
He said now after great sacrifices being rendered by thousands of people from both Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA and jawans of law enforcing agencies normalcy has been restored.
For this purpose, he said, they have planned many sports activities across FATA for the youth. “Our youth were traumatize and were confined to their homes due to insurgency and militancy. Certainly through these sports activities the youth of FATA would get an opportunity to exhibit their skills at national and international levels,” he remarked.
Earlier, Member Trustees and former MPA Dr. Zakir, Imtiaz Ali and Mazar Ul Haq presented a shield of Malik Saad Shaheed Trust to PA Khyber Khalid Mehmood. Khalid Mehmood also went through a photo gallery of the Trust besides taking keen interest in the photos and documentary of the various activities organized by Trust in health, education and sports sectors.—APP
