Overseas Pakistanis should be treated courteously: Chairman

Islamabad—The Chairman OPF Board of Governors, Barrister Amjad Malik has directed the OPF authorities to enhance their presence at all international airports in Pakistan and display a visible Toll Free Number at prominent places for assistance of Pakistani expatriates at the time of their arrival or departure at airports.
He also directed for strengthening the capacity of exiting OPF facilitation desks at all international airports besides putting complaints box at prominent places.
The Chairman said that overseas Pakistanis should be received warmly and they should be treated courteously. “There should be no negligence in resolution of grievances of expatriates”, he maintained.
He further directed that all possible efforts should be made to provide maximum facilities to expatriates and their dependents. Barrister Malik termed Pakistani expatriates as roaming ambassadors of Pakistan and said that the present government attaches high importance with them. He said that issues of overseas Pakistani should be solved on priority basis.
Earlier, the Chairman visited OPF facilitation desk at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad and expressed his reservation over the dilapidated condition of facilities being provided at the airport.
