Overall law and order situation improves in country: Siddiqui

The Federal Secretary National Security Division, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, has said that the overall law and order situation has improved in the country owing to effective measures undertaken by the government for national security. He was talking to the members of the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE). Shoaib Siddiqui pointed out that the improvement in the law and order in the country is also being acknowledged at the international level.
He also spoke of the immense sacrifices rendered by the personnel of the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) for the maintenance of the law and order in the country. Federal secretary said that security is a challenge and concerted efforts are required for successfully meeting such a challenge. Unity among the people was also important in this very respect.
He also spoke of the importance of the media in the present day age for the dissemination of knowledge. Along with the parents, media also has a role for the upbringing and training of youth.
With regard to advertisement for the regional newspapers, he said that the demands in this respect would be conveyed to the concerned forum. The Senior Vice-President of CPNE, Aamir Mahmood, Secretary General Ejaz ul Haq, also expressed their views. A shield was also presented to Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui on this very occasion.
