Over 60m children still out of school in Sindh

Badin—The awareness raising caravan under slogan ‘the education campaign’ of the Awami Jamhoori Party (AJP) while demanding impose of education emergency in Sindh has reached at Golarchi and marching Rahuki, Kario Ganwhar, and Talhar and other cities/towns stayed at Tando Bago.
Leading education campaign, AJP President Abrar Qazi said thousands of schools remained non-functional in Sindh, and over 60 million children were still out of school.
He said their voices were not heard and adding he also demanded for an educational emergency in the province.
Meanwhile, Khadim Talpur, Central General Secretary, Amanullah Shaikh, Vishnu Mal, Zahida Daheri, Najma Mehshwari, Jabbar Habibani and others said that we are deeply concerned over the state of education in the province. Without giving access to education, sound infrastructure, imparting quality education, the people in rural areas have no future adding they demanded for good quality education in Sindh.
They said that Govt should take sound initiatives to functionalize the non-functional schools in Sindh and ensure the proper utilization educational budget of the province adding the stressed over the provincial Govt to eliminate the corruption from education department and especially from education examination boards of Sindh province. It is pertinent to mention that foremost objective of the campaigning is to put pressure on the government to declare education emergency in the province.
