Opposition to get funds share: Farooq

AJ&K prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Monday assured the opposition that all commitments made to them on the provision of funds would be fulfilled and the government doesn’t believe in any political victimization to the opposition parties. An agreement on Neelum Jehlum power project with WAPDA will be ensured.All political leadership of Pakistan is respectable, Kashmiris have a spiritual and ideological relationship with Pakistan.
Speaking on the floor of the AJK Legislative Assembly, the AJK Premier said, ”to us, all political leadership of Pakistan is respectable, Kashmiris have a spiritual and ideological relationship with Pakistan, want to promote ideological relationship with Pakistani leadership keeping it above the politics, Politician of AJK should avoid indulging themselves into Pakistani politics, ”.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan said, Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a visionary leader of the subcontinent, he rendered great services for the nation.
He said the recruitment in AJK Accountability Bureau would be made through AJK Public Service Commission, we want to introduce such an system of accountability in the AJK, nobody could raise finger on it, he maintained.
He made it clear that approving the schemes under Prime Minister’s Community Infrastructure Program was his discretion and all commitments made to the Opposition would be honored, I don’t believe in political victimization and will not target any anyone, he said.
He told the House that agreement on Neelum Jehlum power project rights would be ensured and the project of constructing various lakes will also be implemented. The amount given by WADA for water supply schemes in the past,was not utilized correctly by the previous government, he revealed.
He said the government has expidaited the development process.
”Deficiency in the flow of water in Neelum river created an environmental issue, civilizations live on water and, I as a leader of the opposition played my political role keeping the national interests, he said.
