Performs groundbreaking of Lahore-Sialkot Motorway

Sialkot—Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that opponents are protesting without any reason and the government is committed to overcome electricity load shedding by 2018 and to provide electricity to people on cheap rates. This is the development and not politics of container.
He was addressing a public gathering after performing ground breaking of Lahore- Sialkot Motorway project here on Monday.
He said opponents say if PM would continue work for next two years then PML-N will again win next elections in 2018.
The Premier said security forces and people have fight war against terrorists bravely, adding that he pays tribute to security forces and people. He said terrorists have become weak and terrorism will be overcome soon.
The Prime Minister said that the government has improved Pakistan Railways to serve the masses in the best form. He said PIA has also been revived.
Prime Minister said motorways and highways networks will be extended to connect all the parts of the country.
He said that after the start of this project other motorway projects including Hyderabad-Karachi, Gwadar-Khunejrab, Multan-Sukkur and other projects will be started.
The Prime Minister said that today is a unique day in the history of Sialkot. Sialkot-Lahore Motorway will be of the best quality that will connect Sialkot with the rest of the country. He said Sialkot-Pasroor and Sialkot-Daska Road will also be constructed in near future.
He said due to government’s efforts load shedding has been considerably decreased in all parts of the country. He said power load shedding will be ended by 2018.
He said those holding sit-ins and protests are not in favour of the development of the country.
The Prime Minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project after its completion will open new chapter of progress and development in the country.
He said the government is fully engaged to address the basic issues being faced by the country. He said due to the government’s efforts new job opportunities will be created to end unemployment in the country.
The Prime Minister said that the government is working on its mandate of progress and development while some elements are working on the agenda of sit-ins and protests. He said those doing the politics of protests and sit-ins are creating hindrances in the path of development. He said people of Pakistan want prosperity, development and economic activity while certain elements are working to derail this process.
The Prime Minister said that during the next two years the government will complete numerous projects in diverse sectors which will emerge as bright chapters in the history of the country. Prime minister announced metro and orange line projects for Sialkot. Prime Minister said Sialkot to Kharian motorway will also be established.
Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif in his address said government is making all out efforts to make the country an economic power.
He said the Prime Minister has turned the dream of the people of Sialkot into a reality.
Earlier, Prime Minister performed the ground breaking of eighty-nine kilometer long four-lane Sialkot-Lahore Motorway Project near Sambrial by unveiling the plaque.
Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Director General Frontiers Works Organization Major General Muhammad Afzal and notables were also present on the occasion.
Director General Frontiers Works Organization Major General Muhammad Afzal briefed the Prime Minister about the salient features of the project. He said four-lane Motorway will be completed in two years at a cost of forty-three billion rupees.
It will be linked with the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway near Kala Shah Kaku and the Lahore Ring Road near Mahmood Booti Band. The Motorway will have six interchanges and two service areas.
