Lahore—Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has presided over a meeting of steering committee of Punjab Private Schools Education Commission in which accrual was given to allocate one percent quota for special children out of 10 percent quota result for poor and deserving children in private schools by making amendment in Punjab Private Schools Education Commission Act.
Numbers of the committee discussed to allocate one percent quota for such children out of 10 percent quota result for poor and deserving children in private schools in the existing act as are considered in special category due to physical disability.
The meeting was told that the amended act will be enforced according to categorization of schools. The steering committee will inform senior officials about this approval. Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Dr. Nizam ud Din, Special Secretary Higher Education Department Dr. Shoaib Anwar and other members of the committee attended the meeting.
