A student of a private nursing institute has moved an application to the Ombudsman of Punjab regarding irregularities by an unauthorised nursing school running in the city.
The student, Rabnawaz Khosa, has mentioned in his application that the Golf Nursing School is not afflicted with any hospital and the students paying high fee are being provided no facilities which are required under the Pakistan Nursing Council.
It is alleged that the unauthorised and fake nursing institute ‘The Golf Nursing Institute’ has not been recognized by the PNC but still was getting crores from the innocent parents by charging high fee for their children.
This institute is not qualified to issue certificates to students according to the requirements of PNC as they don’t have any well qualified staff, professional equipments, audio visual labs, hostels, and this institute is not even affiliated to any hospital.
Talking to Pakistan Observer Mrs. Shaheen (student) told: ‘Administration assured me, that this institute is affiliated with teaching hospital Dera Ghazi Khan but in reality it’s fraud’. She is worried about her future.
Dr. Atique ur Rehman, MS Teaching hospital DG Khan, said: ‘I’m listening the name of this institute for first time, and this institute is not affiliated to Teaching Hospital.’
The students and thier parents have demanded of the authorities concerned that action should be taken against owner of the institute.
