NPC organizes Quran Khawani for Quaid-i-Azam

Participants pay rich tribute to Zahid Malik for initiating such a golden precedent

The Nazriya Pakistan Council, following the set precedent and golden tradition of its founder Chairman late Zahid Malik, arranged Quran Khawani at Faisal Mosque in connection with the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Monday
The Quran Khawani was attended by a number of Muslim ambassadors and diplomats besides the representatives of the civil society, senior citizens, students, members of the NPC executive committee and the general public. The proceedings included Fateha for the departed soul of the Quaid and collective prayers for the prosperity of the country soon after the namaz-e-Asr.
The participants paid glowing tribute to late Zahid Malik for setting such a nice and golden precedent of organizing Quran Khawani for the blessing of the departed soul of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Moreover, the members of the NPC executive committee also reiterated strong resolve to continue following the footprints of their late Chairman of NPC.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman NPC Naeem Ghani and Executive Editor Pakistan Observer Gauhar Zahid Malik highlighted the untiring efforts of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for winning independence for the Muslims of the sub-continent.
They also observed that there was a need to forge unity among our ranks and act in unison to overcome the challenges being faced today. “We need to reaffirm our commitment to the democratic ideals, federalism and equality envisioned by the Father of the Nation.” They also underscored the need for soul searching to learn from the mistakes of the past and work with honesty and dedication for the socio-economic development of the country.
Earlier, NPC Chairman Dr Naeem Ghani paid rich tributes to Zahid Malik for his efforts to make the NPC a driving force and an institution guiding the government as well as the public at large on matters of national importance.
Later, the Imam of the Faisal Masjid Qari Muhammad Numan prayed for the eternal peace and shower of blessings for the departed soul of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The participants also sought blessings for the country as well as tyrannized Muslims of Kashmir, Palestine, Myanmar and other violence-hit Muslim countries.
