Now terrorists reach Masjid-i-Nabvi also

In a shocking development, suicide bombers struck three cities across Saudi Arabia on Monday, in an apparently coordinated campaign of attacks as Saudis prepared to break their fast on the penultimate day of Ramazan. What left Muslims across the globe aghast was the dastardly attack on the security headquarters of Mosque of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in Madina, killing five people.
It was indeed a black day as terrorists picked up courage to target the last abode of the Last Messenger of Allah Almighty, who spread the message of peace, affection and brotherhood throughout his life. He is a ‘mercy’ for this and the world hereafter and, therefore, it is inconceivable that any Muslim worth the name would dare indulge in desecration of two of the holiest places on the planet earth. Though the attacks appeared to be coordinated but selection of targets – Mosque of the Prophet (peace be upon him), a Shiite mosque and the US consulate – have no linkage with each other. Shiite mosques have been targeted in the past in an attempt to divide the Saudi society on sectarian lines but this time round two other targets make it an enigma as to who carried out the attacks and why. There seems to be no logic except that the perpetrators of the crime wanted to destabilize the Kingdom, which is considered to be an oasis of peace. Despite Western propaganda and attempts, the fact remains that Saudi Arabia has always remained one of the most peaceful countries. The attacks seem to be part of the sinister design of the enemy to disturb peace and security of a country, which is citadel of Islam and which is more than their own homes for 1.25 billion Muslims around the world. Saudi Arabia has the capacity and capability to track down the culprits and their masters but in the meanwhile these developments should serve as an eye opener for Muslim world and especially their rulers. It is not a co-incidence that most of the victims of deadly terrorist attacks are Muslim state – Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh. They must join their heads and formulate a joint strategy to fight conspiracies against Islam and its followers from different fronts.
