Now bogey of Sindhudesh

TWIN blasts targeting a Rangers vehicle in Larkana on Saturday were claimed by the Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) in pamphlets found by police at the scene. The explosions which took place near a Rangers’ kiosk on Mirokhan Road killed a soldier and injured 15 other people, including five Rangers personnel.
This relatively unknown entity has remained dormant over the years and presently there was absolutely no justification for raising of heads by such organization as ground situation is absolutely not favourable for them. There is no alienation among Sindhis as their urban areas are much prosperous than other parts of the country and the Centre or the Federation cannot be blamed by anyone for backwardness of the interior Sindh. This is because ruling party of the Province — the PPP — has been in power in one way or the other for most part of the past years and credit or discredit of socio-economic conditions in interior Sindh goes to it. In fact, the present Federal Government is laying special emphasis on equal development of different Provinces and many mega projects have been initiated or planned in Sindh as part of CPEC besides assistance for development of Thar coal. Therefore, despite propaganda campaign by some vested interests, people of Sindh have remained as patriotic as people of other Provinces and have not violently agitated against any grievance. In this backdrop, there are reasons to believe that the Indian intelligence agency RAW is trying to stoke trouble through such outfits. Earlier, it made frantic efforts to destabilize Balochistan by providing financial assistance, training and weapons to so-called separatists and now it is turning its attention towards Sindh. However, people of Pakistan including those of Sindh and Balochistan are fully alive to the machinations of the enemies of the country and would foil their designs.
