Army to continue contributing to national security

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has reiterated that Army would continue to contribute towards the security of the country adding country’s interest was supreme to any individual or the institution.
The Army Chief who visited Baloch Regimental Center at Abbottabad on Thursday laid floral wreath at Yadgaar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs of Baloch Regiment who laid down their lives for the defence of the motherland.
The COAS felt honoured and pleased to be at home of Balochs. He said that he has very special attachment with Baloch Regiment being second generation officer as his father was also an officer from the Baloch Regiment.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa interacted with officers and recruits including from FC KP undergoing training at the center. The COAS said that Army shall continue to contribute towards national security. He reiterated his vision for better Pakistan where nothing takes precedence over country. The COAS said county comes first.
Earlier, on arrival at BRC, the Army Chief was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza. Commandant Pakistan Military Academy, Major General Abdullah Dogar was also present.
