There is no water supply in Iqbal Town Rawalpindi for the last more than three weeks. The residents of Iqbal Town are most upset mentally. No remedial steps have been taken by the concerned officials despite repeated complaints. By virtue of their pathetic attitude, they are liable to be called ‘Yazeed’.
On the other hand, WASA staff sell water to private tanker-owners at the rate of Rs 400/- per tanker while the same water is being sold by private tanker owners to WASA consumers at the rate of Rs 1200/- to Rs 1500/- and they are doing huge money by doing such brisk and illegal business. I, a resident of the Town, aged 75, request the Prime Minister to terminate the services of officials concerned so that it serves as a deterrent to others and WASA water tankers should be given under the control of Army so that WASA’s corrupt officials should not dare to do any type of cruelty upon residents of Rawalpindi.
