No end to detain Kashmiri youth on Eid Geelani

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Geelani, has strongly condemned the fresh arrest spree unleashed by Indian police across the territory.
Syed Ali Geelani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the police had intensified the excesses against people in every nock and corner of the occupied territory in this holy month of Ramazan and had made the lives of the people miserable. He said that scores of youth had been detained on fake charges. He called for the release of these youth and all other Kashmiri political prisoners before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The APHC Chairman also demanded release of Hurriyet leaders, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Ameer Hamza Shah, Shakeel Ahmad Yatoo, Nasir Abdullah, Mohammad Amin Parray, Hakeem Showkat Ahmad, Abdul Hameed Parray, Assadullah Parray, Meraj-ud-din Nanda and Zubair Ahmad Turray before the Eid. He said that the continued imprisonment of these leaders had no constitutional or legal justification.—KMS
