The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that Pathans have played an important role in construction and transport sectors in Karachi.
“They are our brothers and we would look after them properly”, he this said while talking to a delegation of PPP Balochistan led its by provincial General Secretary Iqbal Shah, Sardar Sarbuland khan Jogezai and others, said a statement here Wednesday.
The delegation complained that the police were harassing peaceful Pathans living and working in Karachi and arresting them without any reason.
The chief minister said that Pathan were like his brothers. We respect them and they have contributed a lot in construction and transport sectors.
Adding that he would not allow anybody to treat them discriminately. He telephoned IG Police AD Khowaja and directed him to redress the grievances of Pathans living in Sindh.
