Islamabad—Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday held a meeting with Ambassador of United States to Pakistan David Hale and discussed bilateral relations, ongoing cooperation and recent strategic dialogue. They also exchanged views on regional situation and the ongoing cooperation on counter-terrorism.
The ambassador appreciated efforts of Pakistan to take forward the ongoing reconciliation process in Afghanistan and promote regional peace. The Interior Minister expressed satisfaction at the mutual efforts to promote cooperation between the two countries.
The ambassador remarked that the recent strategic dialogue would prove to be an important milestone in furthering comprehensive collaboration in diverse fields.
The minister said Pakistan was desirous of peace in the region and would continue to play its role and make efforts to keep peace.
