Nine suspects including five Afghans held

The Golra police Sunday conducted search operation in its respective jurisdiction following National Action Plan and nabbed nine suspects including five Afghans, a police spokesman said.
Following directions of Minister for Interior, Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, he said that officers/officials of Islamabad Police, Pak Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in various areas of Golra including Dhok Qureshian, Pind Paracha, Dhok Khokhran and its adjacent areas.
Under supervision of SP (Saddar) Muhammad Hussain Iqbal, DSP Ghulam Muhammad Baqir, SHO Golra police station Inspector Muhammad Abbass joined this search operation while police commandos, lady commandos and staff of Bomb Disposal squad also participated in it.
They checked 130 houses, searched 250 persons on the spot and nabbed nine suspects including five Afghan nationals besides recovery of weapons, ammunition, dagger and narcotics from them.
Further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad, Sajid Kiani has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance was to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SHOs to continue it. He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.—APP
