Karachi—Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister for Minority Affairs, Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan has said that any kind of delay and negligence in completion of development projects would not be tolerated. All the ongoing development schemes of the department must be completed by the end of the year.
This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office, according to a statement issued here on Sunday.
Secretary, Minority Affairs Department, Abdul Halim Sheikh, Director, Minority Affairs, Sadiq Rajar and others officers were also present in the meeting.
Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan further said that a policy has been formulated to disburse the development funds and according to the policy the development funds will be released to the district as per the ratio of minority community population.
He also said that the department is providing support for the treatment of poor and needy people of minority community.
The minister further elaborated that marriage funds are also provided to the needy family, enabling them to get their daughters married. He said the minority community is playing important role in economic development of the country especially in Sindh.
