Negative attitudes harmful for national stability: Rana Iqbal

Lahore—Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said on Sunday that negative attitudes were harmful to democracy and national stability.
Addressing a flag hoisting ceremony at Punjab Assembly to mark the Independence Day, he said the incumbent government was capable to deal with the challenges of terrorism and unemployment.
“We will not let the sacrifices rendered by our forefathers go waste”, he added. The PA Speaker said that the country was riched with resources and maximum benefit should be got from these resources.
Rana Iqbal said that progress without social justice was impossible, adding the Zarb-e-Azb operation was successfully underway. “Nation is standing side by side with the armed forces of Pakistan in war against terrorism”, speaker said. Condemning the terrorist attack in Quetta, he said that all of us should point out terrorism to avert the recurrence of such like incidents in future.
Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal said, “Today on the Independence Day by looking at our weaknesses we should devise a plan to reach our destiny”.
He said that vision of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal should be followed in true letter and spirit for the progress and development of the country.
Earlier, the PA Speaker hoisted national flag at the Punjab Assembly building at 9:00 am while national anthem was also played on the occasion.
