NBP inks MoU with PSC to digitize exam fee collection

An agreement for introduction of digital payment system was inked between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (PSC) and National Bank of Pakistan here Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Faridullah Khan, Chairman PSC and Mr. Saeed Ahmed, president NBP signed the agreement. The senior management of both sides including Mr. Mudassir H. Khan – SEVP/Group Chief-Payment Services & Digital Banking Group, Mr. Azfar Jamal EVP/Head Payment Services & E-Banking, besides Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan, Chief Secretary KPK were also present on the occasion.
This initiative will bring convenience for the applicants of KPK-PSC by enabling them to deposit Examination Fee through digital payment channels including branchless banking infrastructure of Jazz-cash and Easy-paisa. Addressing the signing ceremony, chairman PSC lauded support of National Bank of Pakistan in making the online payment system of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission functional, enabling the Commission to meet the challenges of 21st century.
He said the facility of digital payment system would not only reduce the chances of malpractices but also ensure speedy transactions and avoid unnecessary wastage of time and energy. “It will facilitate the candidates at their door steps during holidays to meet time deadlines of the fee deposit before the closing date” He remarked The digital submission of application forms would lead to paper less Government and better maintenance of record.
He said that the digital transactions and online submission of applications would make the dealings crystal clear by minimizing the chances of malpractices and wrong doings.
