NBF provides braille books to blind people

Islamabad—National Book Foundation (NBF) is providing braille books to the blinds people almost free of cost through its bookshops. The Braille books includes the Holy Qura’an with Urdu translation, Bang-e-Dara, Bal-e-Jabriel alongwith 108 other publications of national importance.
An official of NBF told APP, he said that under the welfare oriented scheme, the Foundation is providing educational materials to visually handicapped people almost free of cost. He said that it would enable theme to positively contribution in the country’s development.
He said that the Foundation would further modernize Braille Press with units and all accessories, adding that more variety of publications both textbooks and general reading interest would be included. He said that braille book library and talking books library also part of future plans of the Foundation.—APP
