National Youth Parliament holds cleanliness drive

Islamabad—National Youth Parliament Pakistan (NYPP) on Sunday held a cleanliness drive to create awareness among masses on securing environment at Lake View Park.
“We are trying to inculcate spirit of social responsibility among masses who throw garbage at recreational places rather then properly disposing them off in dust bins”, said Tauseef Abbasi, President NYPP.
On weekend large number of people visit recreational places with their families but they do not take care of the environment, he said adding, “that is why we selected Sunday to demonstrate role of everyone in keeping the environment healthy especially at public places”.
The campaign was organized by NYPP in collaboration with Clean and Green Pakistan and Josh-a-Janoon.
More than 100 volunteers of different age groups participated in the drive who collected the garbage from the grounds of the park emphasizing on use of dust bin.
Member National Assembly Asad Omer also joined the drive and spared some time with the volunteers to promote their cause.—APP
