A Three-day workshop on “Nanomedicine; Advancements and Challenges in Pakistan” was inaugurated here at Department of Pharmacy, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU). The objective of the workshop wasto provide platform to the leading national researchers from various areas of nanomedicine for exchanging the new ideas, latest research in the field of medicine, nanotechnology, industry and drug regulation affairs.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony Dr. Javed Ashraf, Vice Chancellor, QAU lauded the efforts of the organizers and said that importance of the nanomedicine cannot be neglected in achieving the health care goals. He said thatFaculty of Biological Sciences QAUhas contributed enormously in producing quality research and hasits important role in university top ranking.
Earlier Prof. Dr. Gul Majid Khan, Chairperson Department of Pharmacy and chief organizer of the workshop welcomed the guests. He said that relevance and scientific significance of the workshop is quite important from the existing national needs in the promotion of nanomedicine research and its implication on national level to address the pharma needs in developing advanced level nanomedicine.
