9,000 special force personnel to guard CPEC northern part

Peshawar—Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak Thursday underlining need of professional, technical and vocational educational plan for overall development said that government has not only focused conventional education but also professional, technical and vocational education to make a base of trained manpower enabling it to face the challenges of 21st century.
He was addressing participants to mark the inauguration of Captain Isfandyar Ahmad Bokhari Shaheed Vocational Training Center, PAF base Badaber here. Provincial Ministers, Muhammad Atif Khan, Shah Farman, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. General Hidayat Ur Rehman and other high ups were also present.
The Chief Minister said ‘the rise of the nation is linked to a desirable system of education that ensures equal opportunity to all. It would ultimately eliminate poverty that is seen as barrier to quality education’, he added.
Pervaiz Khattak said the youth should be imparted with vocational and technical training so that they can earn a respectable livelihood and become a useful part of society. He said that system we inherited was not delivering; therefore focus should be made to bring paradigm shift in our education system.
A complete system of education has been introduced in the province with improving facilities in existing educational institutions; he added reaffirming his firm commitment to make consistent contributions for the spread of quality education, he added.
He paid rich tribute to the Shuhdas of Badaber and appreciated Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman for his contribution to education and particularly to the production of skilled manpower. He also assured that government would provide everything to expend educational training programs of Pakistan Air Force. Chief Minister received by Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman and Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. General Hidayat Ur Rehman. CM also visited different sections of the Air Base.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak directed to identify the areas of security for the Chinese/foreigners under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor in the northern part falling in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. For the CPEC, 9 infantry will be raised that will comprise 9000 personal – a special force for the security of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
He was presiding over a meeting on TORs of special security division of CPEC at CM Secretariat here Thursday. The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to CM on Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ghani, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amjad Ali Khan, Secretary Home, Secretary Law, Principal Secretary to CM, IGP, Advocate General Latif Yousafzai and other concerned authorities.
The meeting discussed the TORs and the legal power of the new force that would exclusively be dedicated to the security of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and the Chinese engineers and other technical and professionals and the security of the route and project jurisdictions.
Pervez Khattak directed for a futuristic approach as the CPEC will redefine the importance and strategic location of the entire region and the entire belt will be the main beneficiary.
