NAB initiates probe into appointments

The Parliamentary Secretary for Health Gilgit Baltistan Barkat Jameel on Friday said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated inquiry into appointments made in health department during 2010,11 and 2013-14.
He said that release of salaries to all those employees, who were appointed during the last eight years and their names were mentioned in NAB cases have been stopped, adding that the result of NAB inquiry would make it clear whether the appointments were made on merit or on the basis of nepotism.
He said PML-N always uphold merit and transparency in new appointments and would continue work with same spirit.—APP
