Murad for mosquito nets in Tharparkar

Karachi—Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed to distribute mosquito nets in dengue-affected areas of Tharparkar, here on Thursday. On the directives of the Chief Minister the Director of Dengue Programme had sent further 74,000 mosquito nets to Tharparkar, said a statement here.
The nets were handed over to District Health Officer (DHO) Tharparkar. On the directives of the CM, about 9,000 nets were already distributed. Murad have also instructed DHO to provide patients with best health services through mobile teams.
Meanwhile. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gwadar Tufail Baloch directed officials of health department to take measures against dengue virus which was rapidly spreading in the town. According to a handout issued here on Wednesday, DC Gwadar Tufail Baloch chaired a meeting at his office with doctors including District Health Officer (DHO) Dr, Sher Dil Baloch, MS DHQ Dr, Aslam Dostain and other officials in this regard.
The DC asked them to carryout anti-dengue virus fumigation without any further delay in all localities of the town. The DC was also briefed about dengue virus by DHO.”Around 50 people have been reported to be suffering from dengue virus in the town,” the DHO said. DC Tufail Baloch said awareness campaign would be launched against dengue virus in the area in order to save citizens from this virus.—APP
